Aludra has been returned but with no memory of the events that transpired in her absence nor any indication that she has been physically harmed in any way.

I have spoken to our Lord and he has indicated that he will summon you to him this evening. I shall wait at your flat for your return.
In addition there are several measures that I am immediately putting into place to ensure that such a thing will not occur again.- You will not travel unescorted at any time. If for some reason I am unable to accompany you, I shall find a suitable replacement for my presence at your side.
- Within the Ministry an escort is not necessary, but you will inform my secretary when you leave the Minister's office for any reason (including simply to retrieve lunch) and then again inform her of your return.
- If for some reason your work requires you to leave the Ministry, you will inform me and suitable arrangements will be made.
- You are no longer to walk home from work. You will once again wait for me to finish my tasks for the day and I will escort you home in the evenings and to work in the mornings.
- I have altered the wards on your flat so that they will inform me should anyone but you or I enter. If for some reason I am elsewhere and you are expecting visitors, you would do well to inform me.
- If you receive any anonymous contact, via owl or journal, you will inform me at once.
- Once you have had sufficient opportunity to recover from your ordeal, we will begin a more rigorous training schedule so that you are better able to defend yourself.

As a general rule, I find owls are far more likely to receive a response when they bear a signature.

It appears as if Aludra's captor has some interest in discussing matters, if his latest owl is to be believed, although I am quite curious as to how this conversation is to take place. It does, however, appear less likely that Mr Longbottom is in some way responsible as his wife has been returned and still the captor believes there is some injustice to be rectified. In light of that, I am looking towards the family of those we have abducted as the most likely suspects, although I have not entirely ruled out the possibility of a rather elaborate ruse on the part of Mr Longbottom to divert suspicion from himself.
I have filed an official report with DMLE and instructed Mulciber to place Mr Longbottom in charge of the investigation, with a second Auror as the official lead for legal purposes and so he can be monitored for any irregularities in his behaviour.

Aludra's whereabouts are rather disconcertingly unknown. She indicated that she was leaving the Ministry several hours ago and was returning to her flat to prepare dinner and yet she was not here when I arrived. She has not responded to my attempts to ward her and while my next step is to contact her mother and see if she has seen or heard from her, I thought I would solicit alternate suggestions for her whereabouts before attempting to deal with that woman.

Set an appointment with my assistant tomorrow so that I can share with you my notes on the Domestic Precautionary Act. I remain confident that it will pass the Wizengamot and considering the public displays of idiocy in the journals regarding the proposal, I believe it is important that we do a far better job of controlling the message than was done with the initial announcement. Which I presume was not your doing.
Also I have determined that you require a house elf so that dinner is prepared for us by the time we return home in the evening.
And it is time to set a date.

In the event that Mr Black is not the only one with difficulty controlling his compulsion to behave like a petulant child, I would offer a more general reminder that attempting to bribe, coerce or in any other way unduly influence a Ministry employee is both inappropriate and illegal. The Department of Magical Law Enforcement is doing all they can to find those who have gone missing and I would hope that we could all agree it would be best for their time to be wholly devoted to that venture, rather than being forced to deal with incidents of civil disobedience.

And while I have determined that I will allow your continued discussions with Sirius Black so long as you continue to maintain your current standard of behaviour, you will inform me at once of any future displays of disrespect on his part as I am taking it upon myself to instruct the young man on the value of civility. Or silence, I am not feeling terribly particular. During your lunch, I would have you go to Flourish and Blotts, retrieve a copy of Berringer's Standards of Comportment and Decorum for Gentlemen of Polite Society and have it sent to Mr Black from both of us.
I have made dinner reservations for seven. See that your work does not keep you similarly detained this evening.
